Where’s my mojo?

I’ve lost my mojo. And I can’t seem to get it back. I’ve tried lots of different things, but lockdown life number 1 was difficult enough for me being 8 months pregnant and got me in a real funk and now we’re firmly in lockdown 2.0.

Sometimes when you lose your mojo, and it happens to the best of us, you can take yourself out for a coffee, do a really energising workout or even meet friends, that forces you to love yourself that day. But, since covid-19 – (and I seriously loathe the term now) very little gets me excited! Most of my plans for 2020 have been cancelled, delayed or altered much like everyone else. And let’s not even get started with ‘no holidays’! I feel it’s just soul destroying?! What do I fill that empty space with, that’s going to help me still feel like Me??

Styledbydhillon is a huge part of who I am – fashion and style is my outlet, it is my art, my way of being creative and expressing both what I feel and sometimes to not feel anything. It’s also my way of connecting with you guys. Fashion is not just about Instagram or photos. It is most definitely a reflection of mood, an escapism, and the feel good factor, which for me is endless. Procuring different looks surprises me, and entertains me and is some what keeping me sane during these wearisome times.

Are we at the beginning, the middle or the end? To me, it seems like there is no end (I sigh). Somedays I feel so optimistic about life and others I find myself feeling so anxious and extremely frustrated.

I’ve ordered a few personal development books to read as I feel my mental and physical health is paramount right now, especially because I suffer from anxiety.

I’ll be honest I still don’t know what’s going to bring it back for me, perhaps a beach, some sun and a cocktail?

My loves, I hope you all take really good of your mental health during these uncertain times. The best advice I can give you is to ‘get up, get dressed and get out of the house, even for a 20 min walk – got to get your Vitamin D, folks!’ Remind yourselves there are some positives in lockdown and it’s a great time to slow down and have some ‘me’ time.
